Membership

IAVH's activity in the domain of politics - such as in debates on the authorisation of homoeopathic medicines - and the representation of the interests of veterinarians involved in homoeopathy on the respective national level is intended to support veterinary homoeopathy worldwide. We additionally provide online education in Veterinary Homeopathy as we can. Moreover, there are benefits and services available to our members. These include:

  • Inclusion in the international search list for homoeopathic veterinarians
  • Contact with working teams of colleagues engaged in homoeopathic activities 
  • Veterinary homoepathic discussion forum (email forum)
  • Mediation of internship places and guest traineeships 
  • Higher training courses given by certified teaching personnel
  • Acquisition of the internationally recognised IAVH veterinary homoeopath certificate
  • Price reduction for IAVH courses
  • Newsletter appearing every quarter-year
  • Free classified advertisements in the newsletter and on the website of the IAVH
  • Information material to put on display in the practice
  • New! BAHVS journal now available online free for all IAVH members.
Registration

Membership fees

The IAVH is an umbrella organization for national veterinary homoeopathic organizations. Those organizations can join the IAVH as group members. Veterinarians who do not belong to a national organization or whose country does not have a national organization may join as single members.

Members of the IAVH may optionally receive the German journal ZGTM (Journal for integrated medicine) for a reduced fee. And now, as of February 2019, the Journal of the British Association of Homoeopathic Veterinary Surgeons (BAHVS Magazine) is FREE for IAVH members!

The membership fee is due at the beginning of a calendar year together with the fees for the (optional) subscription fee for ZGTM.

As of 2017, the IAVH uses the Human Development Index (HDI) to adjust membership fees according to local economic conditions. We use the following categories (countries with current membership listed):

B class: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, USA, UK

S class: Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain

H class: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Russia, Thailand, Turkey

M class: India, Pakistan, South Africa

If there is a national organization in your country which has a collective membership, you may be able to join that organization as a student.

Group (Collective) Membership

Members of a veterinary homeopathic organization within a country may join the IAVH as a collective membership, in which case all members of the local organization must also be IAVH members. As a rule, members in such collective membership pay slightly over half-price via the national organization. The National Representative for said group member Organisation is responsible for collecting and transmitting membership data as well as dues.

Members of two group membership organisations:

People who are members of two collective groups may request reimbursement of the IAVH portion of the collective membership from one of the collective groups. The member must provide proof of current paid membership (email receipt, or note from organisation secretary) in both collective groups to the IAVH National Representative (NR) for the country in which they are requesting reimbursement. The NR will then adjust that country’s fee for membership.
